Kirsten BUCK

Kirsten Buck

Kirsten Martine Buck was a caring wife, mother, sister and friend. She went to be with Jesus on March 20, 2024 at age 56. She passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in La Villeneuve-au-Chêne, France, and is now dancing with her Savior in heaven.

Kirsten was born on November 22, 1967. She was born-again on March 5, 1985 at age 17, and her life was transformed from that day forward. She was a lover of Jesus, and shared Him with everyone she met, both in words and in deeds.

While in school she heard someone speaking French and thinking of how beautiful the language was, she decided to study French. She majored in French and German at University of Illinois at Chicago. Her love of language continued with her studies of English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, Koine Greek, and even a little Russian.

Kirsten taught high school, and cared for girls in a group home, until God called her to become a missionary. She often said that God knew she needed a head start to learn French, so He had her start in high school.

She received a degree in practical ministry from Brownsville Revival School of Ministry, in Pensacola, Florida in May 2001. For nearly 20 years, she served the lost, sharing the Light of Christ in the Netherlands and France.

Kirsten is survived by her husband, Edward, and by their three children, Rebecca, Jeanne, and Jonathan, along with her mother, Waltraud ‘Trudi’ Martin, her sister, Karen Corneils, her brother, Rich Martin, and many extended family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be hosted on April 6th at 2:30pm at Centre Chrétien, 8 ruelle Alexandre Leymerie, in Troyes, France.

Olive trees will be planted in Israel as a memorial to Kirsten’s life. If you would like to contribute, you can donate here: https://s1.ag.org/kirsten-memorial
